The President’s June Report

Ride report & President Report combination.
1st the ride report , Mini Poker run , Well the weather gods shone down on us for this one , not so much for Rod as he was organizing this one then
came down with the man flu, [not a cloud in site] , so anyway myself & Noel done the cards with 53 sign ons & a couple of extras . Gary Caldwell
accepted the road captains job & as always set a good pace & kept the pack together, corner markers were allocated & given arm bands & I have to say
done a fantastic job, [ i think everyone now knows my yellow gloves & the anger that hides in them.] so they waited patiently.
We headed up Bilambil & over north Tumbulgum to the first stop at Uki where second cards were dealt & a donation of 2 bottles of wine from the
publican [many thanks] were raffled. Popeye ran the raffle not letting anyone hide in a corner. Then it was onto
Burringbar for lunch where Phill , Tara , & Mat had lunch set up, rissoles , snags & salads , I must say though I must cut Phil’s budget back as i did not
get a rissole I was told they were awesome , remember who signs the cheques Phil. Third card was at Billinudgel where a bottle of rum was
donated thanks to the publican. From there Gary left & Carol took the lead as road captain [ catch me if you can ] back to Kirra for last card & more raffle prizes a bottle of bourbon thanks to the sports club & bamboo jocks donated by Chrisso [its a worry] a limited edition THMCEC clock won by Colin Clark , and the big
prize of $350 going to Leanne with 4x10s, thanks to Tony Bruggy for doing back up to popeye & Mark for photos & videos. Popeye discovered a bike will
not go with a crook battery ,& Mark tried to make a steam bike by putting water in his tank but had a failure so its back to paying for petrol Mark.
Thanks to all that helped to make it a great run.

The Swap Meet
Well we all know the result of that thanks to the weather, but I must say it was great to see so many helpers turn up on both the Saturday & again on
Sunday it was a good practice run for next year, a huge thanks to the guys at the mens shed for working with us to allow us to use the oval.
we will have a appreciation function for the helpers very soon.
for now stay well ,stay upright & stay happy.
